Quick Update: There is hope for PSN user's bank accounts after all!
Just a quick update on the PSN hacking matter.
Sony have revealed that the files in which credit card details were stored in, are encrypted, which means hackers will have to do more work to get their hands on user's precious information.
This story does give some peace of mind or PSN users but is it enough? Sony still have alot to answer for but say that it is unlikely for hackers to access card numbers and use fraudulently.

The Terror Continues: Sony's PSN
As most PSN users will know is that Sony has faced a catastrophic security breach of the online gaming service which has lead to over 70 million users details to be obtained by hackers. This includes there addresses, names, credit card details, security questions and basically all other information which is stored on either your PSN or Sony's music service, Qriocity.
PSN was hacked into because Sony had discovered and punished a previous game hacker and an elite team of hackers responded to this resulting in Sony having to shut down its online system for now over a week, to completely rebuild their security infrastructure. Obviously it is a nuisance for PSN users now that they can't play their games with friends but more importantly all the data which has been stolen. All effected users were sent an email from Sony instructing them to change all passwords which were similar on other accounts and take all precautionary steps available to keep themselves safe.
An attack like this could have been avoided if Sony had concentrated less on the hardware and more on their software. What some analysts have said is that Sony basically went, after making their originally high priced console, "ok, better sort out some software pretty quick then and just whack that in somewhere."
As terrible as this is for PlayStation users, the online community of Microsoft's Xbox Live for Xbox 360 sit in their seats smug, because the PS3's hardware may scream with specs but when it comes to online play Microsoft gets out the whip and hits Sony hard. As well as having much better security, the Xbox live service offers smoother game play, easier navigation and an all round better functionality. Yes, it comes with a price tag but it is alot cheaper than what it could cost some PSN users if their credit card details land into the wrong hands.
Sony hopes for their online services to be up and running by next week or will it be too late? Many users have lost all respect for Sony's PlayStation and have switched to Microsoft's less hardware heavy but more software friendly console.

About Time Too: Apple's White iPhone 4 Finally Arrives
On the 24th June 2010 Apple Released the iPhone 4 in a black colour and said that the white version of the device would be coming out in a few weeks...
It was then pushed back further to a Fall release in 2010 and then pushed back further to a spring release, but this time Apple stuck to their word and you can buy this highly anticipated device as of Thursday 28th March 2011, 10 months later than the equivalent black version was released.

Before the white version of the device was released users were able to have their phones modified to have the same look with slight defects but at an added cost. These weren't just available in white but you could also have your iPhone 4 transformed into red, blue and various other colours. Unfortunately for users this does void the warranty of the device so if anything goes wrong then Apple will turn your device away and not be able to help.
The US pricing for the white model remains the same at $199 for the 16GB model and $299 for the 32GB equivalent with a two year contract on either AT&T or Verizon. UK pricing is yet to be confirmed but should remain the same if the US pricing is anything to go buy.
Apple hopes this newly released colour will keep sales strong of the iPhone 4, as rumours lead up to the iPhone 5, where in previous years sales have slowed at this time of year.

Sony Makes It's Entrance Into The Tablet World
Sony has unveiled it's 2 entries into the tablet market alongside all the other tablets hoping to chip away Apple's 80% tablet market share.
These two tablets are different in many ways. The first tablet the "S1" features the usual tablet form of a 9.4 inch display and has a thick end which tapers to a much thinner end. The "S1" also uses Nvidia's Tegra 2 Dual Core processor which will give it more than enough power to run Android's latest tablet optimized operating system, Honeycomb.
The second tablet, the "S2" features an unusual form factor of a closed clam and when opened reveals 2, 5.5 inch touch screens. Sony say this is a special design for a specialised E-reading experience. Like the "S1" this tablet also uses the Nvidia Tegra 2 chip and also runs Android 3.0 Honeycomb. This is a risky move for Sony as no other company has chosen this E-reader specific design but it could pay off as this tablet features a small form factor which is easy to carry around but has the full functionality of Android Honeycomb and the power of the Tegra 2 chip.
Some features the two tablets share is wireless connectivity via 802.11 b/g/n and will also be available in 3G versions and 4G versions where that service is available. One unique feature for Sony's tablets is that it can act as a remote wirelessly for all Sony devices including music devices, TVs, stereos etc. Other rumours include access to The PlayStation Network which would give Sony a huge sales advantage because it would be the only company to reach out to the gaming market specifically. Overall these tablets offer great specs but will they turn out to be as great as they sound? Well they will be available in the autumn or will it be too late for Sony to catch up with all the other Android competitors, let alone the iPad 2?

Get Ready: Nintendo's "Wii 2"
On April 25th 2011 Nintendo released a letter announcing there intent to release a successor to the Wii. They also mention that they will have a playable model of this console at E3 2011 and also will release more detailed specifications of this new console.
Above: The Letter Nintendo released regarding the "Wii 2"
As you can see they also boasted strong sales figures about the current generation which has sold over 80 million units which is more than its other competitors, the Xbox 360 and PS3, which have sold around 50 million units each.
Other than the fact they are making this console not much else was given away detailing the console itself, but we should expect HD capabilities, which is something the original console lacked, 3D capabilities and hopefully something new and innovative which is what nintendo's consoles are renowned for.
What are your thoughts on this mysterious new console? Post in the comments what you think about the up and coming "Wii 2"
