Get Ready: Nintendo's "Wii 2"

On April 25th 2011 Nintendo released a letter announcing there intent to release a successor to the Wii. They also mention that they will have a playable model of this console at E3 2011 and also will release more detailed specifications of this new console.

As you can see they also boasted strong sales figures about the current generation which has sold over 80 million units which is more than its other competitors, the Xbox 360 and PS3, which have sold around 50 million units each.

Other than the fact they are making this console not much else was given away detailing the console itself, but we should expect HD capabilities, which is something the original console lacked, 3D capabilities and hopefully something new and innovative which is what nintendo's consoles are renowned for.
